Expect me to arrive on schedule and notify either the bride or groom of my arrival. Communication is key. Expect me to be relaxed, focused and ready to enjoy the privilege of photographing your special day.
Good question, it’s never happened to me yet thankfully. However, I do belong to a network of 16 professional peers that provide emergency cover. Either way you will get a good photographer as emergency cover.
We can either chat on the phone or make a Zoom call or even meet at the venue. Generally, I know a lot of the venues in the area. But if time allows we could scout the location together. Details are key alongside any creative ideas you may have.
I do offer a wide variety of wedding day photography services. If you look at the Pricing page you should get a clear idea of what is included. All packages include edited pictures and a shared copyright. Optional extras are available.
The number of delivered photos can vary (typically between a minimum 100 (for an express photo coverage) and up to 600+ (for a full day coverage), depending on the event’s duration and activities. I will mention that quality rules over quantity in my approach !
Final turnaround is 6-10 weeks depending on the season. I will however present photos in your gallery from 24-72 hours after the ceremony because I know that you, your family & friends will be curious to see…
We will work to a contract and all the basic details plus further information will be requested. So anything important information should be shared. In addition we will have a chat a month or two before the ceremony as things can change obviously last minute…
Okay, so a shared copyright is when you can print and share the images among friends and family but not for commercial gain ie to sell on for a profit commercially. If you require any further explanation I can provide documents and explain.
Okay, so we would work with a contract to protect both parties and I would ask the wedding couple for a 25% deposit to hold the day, which is non refundable. The remaining balance is due 1 calendar month before the ceremony. I believe this is very standard policy among pro photographers with weddings.
I like to be very clear on my pricing and thus I treat destination weddings as I would do any other. All UK based weddings have a 10% charge for travel and accommodation. Anywhere in Europe it is 20%, Worldwide please ask for a consultation…
Usually this would be discussed with yourselves prior to the ceremony. We would go through the schedule and see if it realistic and have a plan B to work around late times or the elements. I am experienced in sorting group photos and wedding parties and guests.
